I am 5'10 tall and Hyken fits me better than the Dexley which is a bit too large. Very comfortable and the lumbar support is great. Build quality leaves a bit to be desired but given the price it is not a real complaint.

I'm 5'11" and 175 pounds and this chair is perfect. I was hesitant when reading the bad reviews regarding height and weight affecting the feel of the chair. In my situation that problem was nonexistent. The only issue I had was the headrest but I searched online for the Hyken headrest mod and flipped a plastic piece in the headrest. After doing that the chair is absolutely perfect.

I made the mistake of buying this chair without testing it out first. Online reviews and videos rave about this chair - the different adjustments ease of use and easy assembly are all really good but at the end of the day it just wasn't as comfortable as something padded and nowhere near as comfortable as the Herman Miller Aeron which for some odd reason others have compared this chair to. The Aeron chair was one I was able to test and the reason I pulled the trigger on purchasing this one because of the cheaper price and comparisons. It may have something to do with my height (5'4") not really sure but I'm not able to sit in the Hyken for as long as I was able to sit in my old sub $100 office chair also from Staples. That was a fully padded chair with a smaller footprint and less adjustments than the Hyken but I never had to think about how much time I'd be able to sit in it comfortably. I can only sit in the Hyken for about 3-4 hours on average before I need to stretch myself out or get up and adjust my spine - I don't really feel like the ergonomics help me that much. There is a small slope towards the back of the seat where the back of the chair and the seat connect - having that slope there causes a pressure point in my rear end and one of the main reasons I can't sit in this chair for too long. The Hyken just feels too stiff in general - the seating and chairback are not a soft-to-the-touch mesh material which isn't pleasant to sit on and has me looking into other alternatives. Long-story-short: Make sure you test drive this chair before buying.

Not good for tall people (6'1" reviewer)

When set to "lock" this chair still leans back a good inch or two from the slightest pressure so if you want to maintain a straight back posture you can't even touch your body to the chair. When you do unlock to lean back the seat also moves WITH the back and puts a lot of pressure onto the back of your thighs. The seat is also curved so if you're bigger than the average person the side of your thighs also might feel pressure. I also had to buy and attach a separate headrest because the default one helped support the bottom of my neck. Even the newer one only gets to the middle of my neck.
