Large and in charge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being tall kinda sucks. Especially when buying a desk chair. They’re never tall enough or sturdy enough. So, when I first saw the Staples Hyken XL Ergonomic Fabric Swivel Big & Tall Chair, my first thought was, “Here we go again. A store brand desk chair that I’ll white knuckle every time I sit in it until it falls apart in a few weeks.”
The look of the chair is pretty standard. What you’d expect to get at a new office job. However, the open back is a nice touch and prevents getting too hot while working. The wheels move around floors smoothly.

As I gained more experience with the chair, my opinion changed, starting with assembly. Just about every desk chair I’ve ever assembled has at least one screw, whether it’s the threading, or positioning of other parts, that goes in a little wonky. Everything fit together perfectly.
With a lot of chairs, I stress over finding the perfect setting so that I never have to battle the buttons levers again. These controls are intuitive and easy to find.
Overall, this chair is great. It doesn’t stand out visually, but it’s a solid build that is comfortable and easy to adjust.

So far so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only just assembled the chair so haven't had a full work day to test it out yet, but so far it seems great! Adjustable lumbar support, headrest, armrests, and seat, including the ability to adjust the distance between the seat and the back, made it easy to get the perfect fit for a 6'4" frame.

As good as far pricier alternatives

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really impressed by this chair, easy to put together, attractive and, most importantly, both comfortable and supportive. I’ve bought far more expensive office chairs before that were much less comfortable. As someone who’s 6ft5 and 220lbs, most office chairs don’t go high enough, my thighs won’t be perpendicular to the ground, the lumbar support will be too low etc. but this was excellent in that regard. I’ve only had it for a few weeks but so far this has been a significant upgrade and, given that I work from home so spend 8-9 hours a day in it, I’m a very happy customer.

Comfortable Supportive and Durable

The larger frame offers great support without feeling bulky, and the breathable fabric keeps me cool even during long work sessions.
Adjusting the chair to fit my body was simple — the tilt tension, lumbar support, and armrests are all easy to fine-tune. I really appreciate how solid and stable it feels, especially when leaning back or swiveling.

Great Desk Chair for Tall Guys

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really enjoying the Staples Hyken XL Ergonomic Fabric Swivel Big & Tall Chair. As someone who’s over 6'4", it’s a perfect fit!
The seat cushion is very comfortable, and the lumbar support is excellent—fully adjustable to suit your needs. The headrest is a great addition. This is my first desk chair with a headrest, and I find it both comfortable and positioned at the right height to actually rest my head.
The adjustable armrests work best for me at their maximum height, so there’s limited flexibility there. However, the wide design of the armrests is a major upgrade from my previous chair—definitely a plus.
My only negative experience was with the setup process:

The instructions were placed at the bottom of the box, which meant I had to unpack everything before I could even begin.
Some screws weren’t packaged in the correct compartments, so I had to sort them by size manually.
Assembly is really a two-person job. I managed about 75% on my own but needed help toward the end to hold and position parts correctly.

The only thing I don't like about this chair is the arms rotating. The up and down and forward and back lock, the rotating does not. I am constantly moving them accidentally. Other than that it is very comfortable.

Just Worth It

Even less frequent that you find something that fits both you and your coworker who was a D1 Defensive Lineman. I’m not small. At 6’2” and 240 I’m an XL in everything, and this chair was big for me. But not oversized. Just actually big enough, at its tallest setting my feet didn’t touch the floor. That NEVER happens!! Lots of lumbar support, a head rest (surprisingly comfy), and a cushion that can support those big boy bottoms - I’m recommending this to all my former football friends.

Great for big and tall people

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a 6'1" 250lb man I really enjoy this chair. This is probably the widest office chair I have ever owned. It makes it extremely comfortable. I generally struggle to find chairs that are tall enough for me to lean back with head support and this one fits me perfectly with the adjustable head rest. The mesh back is a nice feature so it doesn't get hot and the cloth bottom is way more comfortable than having a mesh seat so I'm glad this has both styles put together. I would highly recommend this chair to all my fellow big and tall people.
