A chair for typing

The best part is the comfort and support in the small of the back. Putting it together really requires two people as some parts are heavy to hold and work the screws in too. The directions leave a lot to be desired!

This in an amazing chair with good support. My only recommendation is having a matching ottoman with the same material that is taller for leg support and that is adjustable and can go under a desk. Otherwise I really love this chair. I gave it a four instead of a five because my boyfriend has the same chair works in an office all day and is having soreness on his bottom after switching chairs. However he is losing weight quickly and is going to be 56 yo. So it may not be the best chair for older skinny people with little gluteal support. I spent time tring different chairs on display and as an average size and weight woman I found this chair to be surprisingly the most comfortable breathable and cleanable at a fair price. Our bodies are different so I highly recommend taking a day to try different chairs to fit your needs.

Very uncomfortable seat

The chair back is very supportive but the seat sides press into the hips. After about an hour I have to get up because the pressure from the side blocks under the seat gets to be to much. Wish I had my old chair back...

The chair is doing what it is supposed to do. Stay up and support! It has been a teaching moment because I had to put it together myself. Years ago I was asked what was my weakness and it was not mechanically inclined so assembling the chair has now made my weakness a strength. Hooray for Union Scale Hyken Ergonomic Chair!!!!
