The chair is very comfortable however I know that there are more comfortable chairs out there - they just cost more. The style/design of the chair looks cheap but it probably does not matter for most office atmospheres. The price is inline with the quality of the chair.
I purchased this to help relieve the pinched nerve pain that shoots down my arm partially caused by sitting improperly while working at the computer for hours at a time. Not only is the chair comfortable but also it helps remind me to sit correctly. I especially like the lumbar support in my lower back.
I ordered this chair after my husband and I went and tried it out at a local Staples. We're different heights and body types but the chair offered us both excellent support so we went for it. The local store did not have it in stock but they ordered it and it arrived promptly two days later. It was easy to put together and has proved to be a godsend for my home office. I have a weak back and prolonged sitting required for my work always leaves me with a back and tailbone ache. Not so with this chair which provides comfortable support I don't have to think about. No pain at all after a full day with limited breaks. It's adjustable as well for how much stiffness you want it to offer in that you can change the give of the back so it remains firm and keeps you upright or is less firm so you can lounge back in it if that's your style. I live and work in a hot climate during the summer and the mesh material also helps keep me cool and comfortable. The mechanisms for tightening and loosening raising and lowering etc all work very smoothly. Overall I'm very pleased with this chair.
It's a great chair actually it's the most comfortable chair i have ever sat in but... as a heads up on this site it says the chair supports up to 250 pounds but on the chair itself it actually reads up to 225 pounds. Also the directions are just pictures... one picture in particular confused me and that confusion caused a crack to form on the telescopic cover the top one(smallest). In order to avoid this place the medium size one inside of the large one and the small one inside of the medium one and apply pressure to the button. Other than that as long as i don't plan on adjusting the seat it's fine even with the crack... its a small crack but still.... The directions should have specified. Other users are stating that the seat back support arm rest aren't adjustable... they are full of it you have to configure it before hand just read the specs of the chair and know how tall you are and how wide you are. It's that simple. Great chair Overall. I Highly Recommend.
Well worth the few day wait to be shipped in because product was currently out of stock due to high demands. Would highly recommend this chair to any graphic artist or cad designer that spends many hours in uncomfortable chairs; this Hyken chair takes the stress and soreness out with added lumbar support and adjustable headrest.
