Great for my neck and back

I was a little wary about a full mesh chair because I am used to ones with cushions but so far it is great. You dont have the same pressure pushing against your joints and it feels fantastic and neck support is just right.
shame on staples to have a product poorly enough designed that the mechanism squeaks. re arms: I like to sneak my knees under my desk. the forward facing arms prevented that. So they are now rearward facing.
I've been looking for a chair that would support my back and neck. This is it! Most chairs don't support your neck and head at all or not very well. I sat in every chair on display and none of them had the neck support I needed except this one. And you can lean back in the chair and be comfortable enough to take a nap - okay at home not so good at work.... The lumbar support fits well and is adjustable. When I sit in this chair I want to sit up. I have a much more expensive chair at work but I have a tendency to slide down. Not with the Hyken chair! Note: This chair really forces you to sit up straight.
I purchased this chair as a replacement for an 8 year old wooden office chair with a cloth cushion. The chair was falling apart and the cushion was long gone paper thin. I wanted something other than wood construction and no fabric cushion more durable. This chair was much more than I wanted to spend but the construction appeared to be very good. The mesh webbing was strong and comfortable. The lower lumbar support was a welcomed relief to my worn out back. I'm hoping that this will be one of those "you get for you pay for" and stays comfortable and last a long time.
I knew this was the right chair at the right price. I was hoping for leather but I am quite happy now that I am using the chair. My old chair purchased a decade ago was causing painful stiffness in the sacral region of my back -- the lowest part. It was painful to stand up just from being in the wrong position for too long. I remembered some auto seats from years back that seemed odd when one first sat down but after driving several hundred miles I felt rested and fresh. They were the best seats I had ever had in car. I was looking for a similar design in an office chair. This one has it and my days of pain from stiffness in my lower back are gone.
This chair was my birthday present to myself. It is great for anyone that has to spend extended hours sitting. The mesh does a wonderful job allowing me to breath and not get sweaty or stuck to a leather one. The lumbar support is great also although I don't particularly care for the adjustability of it. Luckily it works great for me. It seems quite sturdy and I don't have too many problems moving around on medium carpet without a plastic mat. Although I'm average sized the seat is wide enough to accommodate someone with above average size. My fiancé can actually curl up cross-legged in it as could I if my knees weren't bad. The top part may seem like a turn off for some but if you just sit in this chair in a staples store and let it support your neck your views may change rather quickly.
