Quality Built Comfortable Seat

I purchased this chair to replace and aging office desk chair for my home office. After sitting down on over a dozen chairs I kept gravitating back to this one. It has a super lumbar support and the mesh kind of grabs you and conforms to you. Very comfortable and the mesh will keep you cool in the warmer months. The head rest is fully adjustable and while I didn't think I would ever use it I have found it a very nice touch. Assembly was a snap too. Although i did use a power drill in place of the allen wrench. But easy instructions and easy to put together. You will not be disappointed with this chair.

Great for People with Neck Problems
on February 12, 2014

Got a great deal when Staples ran a special. I was having a lot of neck/headaches (I have a set of cervical ribs) with my desk job so I needed a chair with a headrest. I am only 5'2" so the headrest was just a tad tall for me at it's lowest position and I had to add a small pillow on the seat other than that I would have given it 5 stars. I have only had this chair a week but no headache's at all and that in itself is amazing for me. The lumbar support is great and slightly adjustable and I love the reclining feature of the chair. It's sturdy and offers support in all the right places and even without the great deal I got this is one of the most affordable ergonomic chairs out there. All in all very pleased with this purchase.

Headrest digs into my shoulders
on February 5, 2014

Overall I am rather impressed by chair ESPECIALLY for the price. For context: I'm mid 20's 6'00" 170 lbs. I was first introduced to ergonomic chairs at my previous job. I would often work 12+ hour shifts almost entirely seated. Initially I frequently experienced pain in my lower back & tailbone until we got an ergo chair (an Ergo Human which sells for over $600 almost everywhere). From that point forward I had NO pain or soreness regardless of my shift length. Now that I'm a student again & in need of a desk chair that will be used for long stretches of time I knew I had no choice but to get an ergo chair. After about a few 6-8 hour stretches I can confidently say this $130 investment has been quite impressive. It is supportive while still distributing your weight evenly which means I have not experienced any tailbone soreness. The lumbar is a little low on my back even at full height but it's close enough to still be comfortable and supportive. I don't really use the armrests much as my arms are usually on/above the desk but they were comfortable enough when I tried them out. Now it does have its flaws. I find the base too be too short as my knees extend significantly beyond the drop-off. To the best of my knowledge there is no way to adjust the base depth slide the backrest further back or order the chair in a larger size. Next and most importantly the is the headrest. Not only was it kind of a pain in the butt to get it on but it is too short to be useful. When I lean back just a little the lower edge digs into my neck & shoulders. When I try to recline & actually rest my head on it it only hits my neck tilting my head upwards. Obviously this is not comfortable. I would like to see Staples incorporate more than the current 3 positions for the headrest in the future. Ok so all those complaints yet still 4 stars why? Simply because of the price point. I included all that context to make this very clear: This chair actually competes with ones 4-5 times its price. Of course the Ergo Human one was a bit nicer but not even close to $500 nicer. Overall buy it. It's worth the risk because if you don't like this chair the next option is going to be at least $200-$300 more. Probability says you'll be more than happy with it though.

I purchased two of this chairs for each of our offices. I paid the extra amount to have Staples assemble them. They are really comfortable for long days on working in the office. Very happy with them.
