I bought this chair after reading some very good reviews on this site. I returned it after giving it a full month of use.I wanted to give it enough time to be broken in. I work at home and needed a chair that would support my head/neck. I found the headrest too hard and the back of my head perched on it but didn't get any actual support. The mesh back and seat made me cold. I know there are reviews out there that really liked this feature because the user felt hot in a regular chair. Well being a woman I felt cold all the time. Wrapped myself in a blanket. Also found the chair seat hard and the lumbar support was useless. I realized as the day wore on that I was arching my back and not relaxing into the back of the chair. I would not recommend this chair for the person using it for an 8 hour workday. I have since bought another chair from Staples 2nd day of using it and so far it is hands down a much more comfortable and supportive chair. It is the Stalton Bonded Leather Chair. It has a built in adjustable headrest that supports my neck perfectly. Also has a lumbar support adjustable bellows that works great!! Also the arm rests are adjustable and can be moved out of the way if you want.I must note that both of these chairs are a bit tall in the lowest setting and I use a footrest to make up for it. I am 5'5" so would have liked it if they were able to be lowered a bit more.
I have had neck and back surgery and my old desk/computer chair just was not comfortable. My husband and I had sat in it before buying and thought it was just what we needed. But after a few hours in the chair at home woe were we. So this time we tried out this new chair in the store on several occasions before buying. We even sat in the chair at a desk in the store to simulate our work area at home. After buying and assembling this chair which was easy to do we are quite satisfied. The chair does not get 'hot' with the mesh covering. The adjustable arms fit me at lowest position without hitting the pull out keyboard shelf on the desk. The mesh keeps me from 'sliding' down in the chair with the constant need to re-position myself frequently like the old chair required. And he back support hits me right where I need support. I do have one negative. The head rest does not fit me. I am short and the chair back is tall so with the head rest attached it felt like it was causing me to thrust my head forward. Solution for us: remove the headrest. The tallness of the chair back does not bother me and it does fit my husband. So for us the headrest was not necessary for our use and comfort. This is just for your consideration when thinking about buying this chair. In conclusion we are very pleased so far with this purchase. We got it for Christmas 2014 so we'll see how it holds up after long term use.
We bought two of this chair and really loved them at the beginning. They were very comfortable and supportive. The chairs were used in the home office and most used a few hours a day during the evening. We weighted between 140 to 155 lbs. We ran into a big problem after a few months. The chair seats started to loosen and staples were came off. They became uncomfortable. We can feel the chair seat mesh being sagged. We wish I could return them!
chair is comfortable and to put together was very simple. the screws were put in comopartments with card for every step of the of the process. it was very simple.
It doesnt quite live up to all the hype given that I have a Herman Miller Mirra at home (this doesnt even come close) but as a replacement for my work chair (company is too cheap to spring for a decent upgrade) it has all the right options. Decent lumbar support (though not adjustable). Like other people I found the headrest useless as it digs into my shoulders (even though I'm only 5"11). The armrests are a bit firm but I dont put alot of pressure on my arms. If you do however though this could be an issue for you. I will say that the limit is 250lbs. I'm 225 right now and probably 30lbs overweight but can already start to feel that chair is a bit too "narrow" as it starts to pinch the sides of my legs after 5 hours. I think this would be best for people that are smaller frame and under 210lbs.
