LOVING this chair. I'm only 5' with like a a 26" inseam so it's hard to find a chair I can sit all the way back in back against the chair's back and still have my knees extending over the edge of the seat and feet touching the floor. THIS ONE IS IT! My other colleagues are a bit taller than I am but they've tried it as well and are order ones for themselves too. Of course the chair raises up quite a bit for the taller people. I have it as low as it will go and my feet are JUST touching so if you're shorter than 5' or if you have a lot of "padding" in the "rear" you might still need a little foot rest. But to be honest I couldn't find a chair that went any lower than this one. This Tilt Lock feature isn't amazing - pretty much you can lock it to recline a bit but it's not like you can tilt the seat itself to slant forward more which is fine here anyway. Arms adjust easily and to a pretty wide range of heights. The mesh is bouncy and nice. The lower lumbar can be tilted up or down a little bit but you can't make it more or less intense by moving it in our out more but again on this chair it's fine because it seems just right as it is. I didn't install the headrest just because I thought it looked strange and I'm the first desk everyone sees. When I tried it in the store though I did really like it I just didn't want to get made fun of! LOL
The chair is designed for smaller stature folks maybe best for kids under 5 ft. 10 in. The back although advertised as adjustable is not because of a higher tension spring adjuster than is necessary so adjusted to its least resistance it is still too stiff to lean back. The headrest is not adjustable to accommodate a larger (greater than about 6 ft. tall) individual and cuts into the shoulders. I will pass this to one of my kids but cannot use it myself. I do not recommend this chair to anyone over 6 ft. in stature.
So many of these office chairs are designed for a big man. This one is for the medium to smaller adult person. I am 5'5 and my son is 5'9 both are medium weight and short waisted. This chair fits us perfectly. Great lumbar support built into the chair in back of the mesh. The headrest is very adjust able by tilting it. It's the first office chair I have had where the head rest will actually supports the base of my neck. The chair can be adjusted to rock or not. Also reclines back half way. So comfortable to watch TV with feet up. We have 3 of them in the house now. I am a fan of the mesh chair as they breath. Avoid this chair if you have a wide hip area. The arms will not adjust far enough out for you to sit comfortably. The Max arm distance width is 18".
