I bought my Vitamix in November of 2013 and have loved it since. It is by far one of the best investments I have made for our family of 5. It gets used daily, from when I first bought it for making baby food, soups, ice cream to our daily green smoothies and making almond, cashew and oat milk. Customer service is phenomenal and I love the free recipes via email. Overall it's an amazing, powerful and beautiful machine, the red one looks beautiful on my counter.

We have used our Vitamix almost every day since it arrived. It has helped with our plant based lifestyle,making it easy to make oil free salad dressings, and smoothies. We even have a favorite banana and oats pancake batter we make in it.we wish we gotten one years ago.

Powerful Beast

This machine literally changed everything, My sister ordered me a vitamix when i was very sick, I only could consume liquid foods and they was a life saver and still is, I make everything in my vitamix and love love love always at first sight at how everything comes out, My kids are even obsessed with it, Vitamix makes high quality products that last forever and Customer service is beyond 5 stars

Smoothies are so much better

We've had this model for a few years now, and love it. It works great, and its performance is so much better than the other blenders we have owned. We are now considering upgrading to the Ascent model.

I recently purchased the Vitamix 5200 and absolutely love it! Smoothies, almond flour and hot soups are all effortlessly created. I can't believe I had lived without one prior to this purchase. I know they aren't cheap but they are well worth the investment.

Very powerful but has some drawbacks

It's very powerful and does a great job blending to a very smooth consistency as other reviews will tell you. There are a few negatives though:
1. The "high" setting is more or less unusable. Turning it on with the high setting causes liquid to spew out the top no matter how tight the two-piece lid is.
2. Plastic jar is solid but would prefer glass. I would also prefer a wider jar.
3. The food processor attachment apparently is not compatible with this base.
