I recently bought a new 5200 to replace my old machine, from 2009 that was damaged from misuse & out of warranty. I spent a lot of time researching which model to get next - reading reviews and talking with Vitamix customer service agents. Nearly all of my research led me the new & improved models, such as the A2300. However, in the end, I stuck with my gut & went with my tried & true, first & only Vitamix love, the 5200. The biggest factor weighing my decision is that my friend got the A2300 - and I was able to “try it before you buy it.” I did not like the wider, larger container (even though it fits under cabinets) I realized the narrower container (same volume size) would fit my needs much better as I am primarily cooking for just myself. The newer, wider container requires more volume to get the ingredients moving. Additionally, I also realized the 5200 is a much simpler machine to use - on/off and variable/high buttons. The features of the newer models were not relevant to my needs, so I stuck with the old school design. I couldn’t be happier with my decision & don’t know how I spent the last several years without it. I also received a credit for sending in my old machine - which is a neat program - great way to recycle the old machine while making the new one more affordable. I love my Vitamix!
Pros: Speed of Service, Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Power
This is the first Vitamix we bought. After using it the first time, I learned that Vitamix is not just a blender, is THE kitchen appliance to have. It is so easy to use, with such wonderful results, so easy to wash, and so easy to LOVE!! Of course we also got all the available containers.
Pros: Speed of Service, Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Recipe Enhancement, Power
We recently purchased this and I don't know why we waited so long. Any other blender we've had doesn't even begin to compare. I can now make smoothies and juices comparable to ones I would purchase. I don't find it any louder than any other blender and this is only on the highest setting. It is so easy to clean which is a huge plus.
Pros: Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Power
I own a Blendtech and I wanted to try something new. I did a lot of research before buying my Vitamix 5200. It blew my mind how the smoothie came out so creamy compared to its competition. For whole juices it's about the same but the Vitamix is much faster. It took half the time to do my Beet, carrot, apple juice. The 5200 is a great blender. So glad I purchased this.
Pros: Texture Quality, Easy to use, Versatility, Recipe Enhancement, Product features, Power
The machine is okay- the quality of materials used now has changed - the same model vitamix I purchased about 15 years ago was better made, in my opinion.
