Great, till it stops working, then ?

Then it’s a very expensive and useless appliance. Gave our kitchenAid to our son when we purchased the Vitamix. kitchenAid was over 18 years old when we gave it to him 8 years ago. He’s in college, an athlete (swimmer), make protein shakes every day with that OLD RELIABLE MIXER. Our Vitamix died today - just stopped, mid smoothie making. Called my son, he laughed while he was mixing a shake with the old KitchenAid.

If your Vitamix shut down while you were blending, it is likely it temporarily overheated. Sometimes the machine may emit a burning odor and/or stop temporarily because its thermal protector sensed that the machine was close to overheating. If this occurs, we recommend turning the power switch off for up to 45 minutes, allowing the machine to cool down or reset. To avoid overheating your machine in the future, be sure to ramp the machine up to the highest speed within five seconds of turning it on to activate the cooling fan in the motor. If you have not done so already, please try to power your Vitamix on today to see if it has regained power.
If your machine is still without power, please reach out at either 1-800-848-269 or service@vitamix.com.

Unbelievable endurance and customer service

We bought our Vitamix 5200 twelve (12!) years ago and it's still going strong. At one month past seven (7!) years we had a problem with the bearings in the container starting to leak. Even though we were just past the warranty, the company asked us to return the whole machine and then sent it back to us refurbished, with a brand new container. It's still running just fine. FYI, we make homemade almond milk using whole almonds 2-3 times a week. We're only here now to look at the newer designs. Let's just say, we are serious fans of Vitamix.

Replacing a mediocre 2-speed blender we’d had almost 20 years, which was rarely used for anything other than smoothies. Now, our new Vitamix is put into use weekly, if not more frequently. Smoothies, as well as hummus, soups and more. Couldn’t be happier.

I’ve owned a juicer for 10 years its use has diminished over the years. The clean up got to be more of a hassle than what the benefits were worth. Vitamix juicing provides all the benefits of eating whole fruits and cleanup is really as simple as water, a drop of detergent and turning the machine on.
