Great investment

I bought this blender, looking to make eating healthy a little bit easier. I have owned many different blenders in the past (although non have been top of the line) and I wanted to move onto the next step. Since day one, i have been using it 2-3 times a day. Its so easy to clean and use that its not even a second guess to use my vitamix if I want something quick and healthy. I also used the cookbook that came with the blender and so far it has some really good soups to make. Again, making it easier for me to eat how i want to. Best adult investment i have made thus far. A+++

I love our Vitamix!!!! I WISH it had a blender cup assessory for the 5200 Standard! I hope it can happen!

We bought the Vitamix about 3 years ago. The container started leaking from the bottom after 2 years. When I called Vitamix, I was told to stop using the blender, throw out the container and was immediately shipped a new container at no charge, not even shipping, no questions asked! We have a second home and didn't want to spend the $$$ on a Vitamix, so bought a Ninja. We are donating the Ninja to Goodwill and buying a second Vitamix!

I've had my Model 5000 for 10 years and it still runs...I turn on my Vitamix more than my oven.

Just made my first smoothie!....it was my own creation...Watermelon & peaches with some Almond/Cocunut milk & ice!.....Yummy! Looking forward to trying the recipes that came with the blender! Also, it's a great & yummy way to get more fruits and veggies into your diet!! It's pricey but worth it. High quality blender!

I bought my first Vitamix 3 years ago. I had to send it back for repairs. They had it repaired and it was on the way, when someone sent it to the wrong part of the country. They intercepted it and the next email I received said it had been damaged in shipping. Long story short...they sent me a brand new machine with two containers (48 and 64oz) plus spatula and extra tamper. This is the best company I've ever dealt with.

Blade dull, motor gone in less than a year.

Vitamix has over-promised and undersold. We purchased this model around Nov 2014, and now (July 2015) the blade seems dull, food is getting stuck beneath the blade, and the motor just went. We are grateful for the 7 year warranty, but I am at the mercy of a non-responsive company, whom I contacted a week ago.

So Versatile- more than smoothies and soup

We've had it 10 days. We've used it Atleast 2 times a day, but up to 5 times in a day! We've of coursed made smoothies the most. But homemade dressings and marinades, soup, cake batter, frosting, pizza sauce, pasta sauce, salsa.
I also love it for food prep. Threw in some peeled garlic and onion (puréed peel is fine) but when you want chopped, gotta remove the peel. Throw in everything I want chopped, turn it on low level for a half a minute and wa-la! All chopped up and ready for cooking.
Cooking just got a whole lot easier!
Tonight I made a cake batter and frosting following some random normal (non Vitamix) recipe I found online. I did the dry ingredients in a bowl- as you mix them separately. But it was a lemon cake- called for lemon and lemon zest. Of course I cut a lemon in half and just plopped it in the Vitamix rind, seeds and all! It mixed in quite well! Then frosting it made was the perfect texture and consistency. So even when you're not eating healthy, you can still get good use out of the Vitamix.
And my kids are loving their green smoothies. They don't always eat their veggies, but sure love their smoothies. Oh and strawberry vinegarette made in the Vitamix, over leafy greens, success with my kids as long as I didn't put too much vinegar in it!
I hope this thing lasts all of the wear and tear- we can't get enough of it! It's awesome. Best appliance purchase I've made ever.
