I bought this model about two months ago and I am very pleased with it. I have an older version still working, but decided to get a newer one (red color) for my home and take the older one to work. I make a lot of smoothies and now I can even make soups, drinks, and more!

I am in awe at the power of this blender. I make smoothies and nice-cream daily and it just powers through with ease, and it is so easy to clean up. I gave up my Breville AND a Ninja for this bad boy. I am so glad I finally bought it. This blender has truly been useful and added to the quality of my life.

Simply The Best Kitchen Tool On The Market!

I would like to address the people who will read the review from the person who said that Vitamix has "overpromised and undersold". That is absolutely INCORRECT!! I have had my original Vitamix since the1990's and other then replacing the blades once in the original pitcher, have had no issues. The motor has never quit and I use it every day. My Vitamix is at least 25 years old and the motor is as strong and powerful as the day I bought it. It simply does not quit. I think it will puree a brick though I've never tried. I bought it when I was diagnosed with cancer and it helped me to change my lifestyle of eating habits and beat cancer. I eat a whole food diet and use it every day for either smoothies, sauces, dips, dressings, nut butters, nut milk, nut cheeses, you name it. I would never be without my Vitamix. It is by far the best tool in my kitchen!! No other blender even comes close to the Vitamix's power, durability and ability to transform food! For anyone who is contemplating buying one but is shy due to the price, BUY IT. You won't regret it! It will last you your lifetime!

Amazing Smoothies. Flawless skin and digestion

I wanted a blender that could make smoothies easy to drink. Making carrot, beetroot and other hard fruit/veg smoothies were always dreadful to make in my old blender. Always so chunky! Now thanks to the Vitamix blender My smoothies are practically equivalent to juice. Smoothies are healthier because no fruit gets wasted, unlike juicing. I love this blender and I am so happy I invested in this. My skin is almost flawless because of all the healthy smoothies I drink, and my digestion is better .My favorite smoothie is my vitamin C smoothie :
- put a bit of orange juice in the blender
- a carrot
-put a whole unpeeled orange
- chunks of apple
-chunks of peach
-chunks of pineapple
- and blend !!!!

I purchased this unit about 6 weeks ago and I am so glad I finally took the plunge. yes it is one of the more expensive blenders I could have purchased but the quality and variety of uses is worth it! Plus the warranty and the free gift of produce/smoothie options that came with it from another company was sooooooo nice! I would purchase this item again, over and over!

My green smoothies come out perfect every time. I was making them daily in another single serve blender and thought about buying a Vitamix for over a year. So glad I finally did it. I have also used my Vitamix for pancake mix, desserts and a different variety of smoothies. For those of you hesitant on spending the money on one of these, I highly recommend to just do it!!
