This is my second purchase. I noticed that my Vitamix Super 5000 wasn't emulsifying carrots like it used to. I was getting some strings. I got a replacement blade but it didn't fix it. So I decided to just use the super 5000 for grinding up spelt (ancient wheat) using a dry grinding blade and smaller container. I got the new 5200 but decided to use the old larger container with the new wet blade because the new container with the wet blade had a tendency to leak out of the top. The new 5200 vibrates as if it was slightly out of balance. But the vibration seems to have lessened with use.
I've wanted to own a Vitamix for 10 years, but felt like I couldn't "justify" the high purchase price. So, in the interim I've purchased the NutriBullet , the Cuisinart Blender, and various other "similar" mixers and quickly became disenchanted with them. Finally I treated myself to a Vitamix! And ... WOW ... It is definitely WORTH EVERY PENNY !! I'm having a blast with this thing, and living healthy at the same time. Had I not wasted my money on those other impostors, I could've had the Vitamix already. Don't skimp !! Buy the real thing. Buy the Vitamix !!
