I bought this Vitamix almost 2 months ago and it's my favorite kitchen appliance. I've perfected hummus, make smoothies every day, and have tried everything else but soup. I love the tall canister. It is a bit loud but I expected that. I wish the lid snapped on (once I didn't have it on all the way). But really, I'm not complaining. I love this thing.

My 5200 has been used to make full carafe of bananas, nuts and seeds Close to every single day for over 7 years. I also use it to blend frozen bananas for ice cream, nuts for nut butters and various frozen fruit smoothies. I love it and it’s still performing beautifully.
Since my warranty (7year) expired I’ve toyed with jumping on one of the newer refurb sales that’s advertised regularity, as insurance for when Dies. But none of the reviews that I read for the newer, digital, models match the experience that I have had with the 5200. And as I look at the reviews for the 5200, the mirror my sentiments exactly.
So instead of “” upgrading, when it is time to buy new one, I think I’ll stick with what worked for me for the last seven years and go with another 5200. I hope vita mix does not discontinue this model.

And I advise anyone looking to invest in a new machine to go with the 5200 and not be distracted by the current day bells and whistle’s. Who needs an app, who needs a detectable cop, you’ve got all the controls at your fingertips. Stick with what works

7 years and still blending

We bought one 7 years ago and still it blends like new. Why am I reviewing it now? I was buying another one for my son and came across the reviews and thought I would chime in.
My only complaint would be to make it a bit more dummy proof. You can accidental leave it on high and if you turn it on with the top off everything in the blender will be on the ceiling - or your face depending on where you are standing when you flip the switch. Yes, it happened once to us (not me I am glad to say) and it took hours to clean up and we actually laughed the entire time - and we have 12 foot ceilings!!! I wish I had a photo to share so everyone could share the laughs.

I have had my Vitamix for over 5 years now.. did not have an issue until lately.. I called I sent it in and it was repaired and sent back in no time. I just love it, makes smoothies, daquiris, margaritas.. whatever you want and does a great job.

I bought my Vitamix not sure if it would be worth the price. Although I do not use it often,when I do it excels anything I would have imagined. It purées to the smoothes consistency. I can control it by just blending at a lower slower rate if need be. I especially love to use it for sauces and soups.

We purchased a Vitamix Total Nutrition Center many years ago. It finally gave up after a lot of use a few years ago. We couldn’t afford a new one so tried several cheaper blenders which all wore out in less than a year. When 3rd nutribullet died on us, I said Vitamix would still be going. Husband finally agreed. YES, my Vitamix works great and blends everything I need it to better than any blender I’ve used. I am very happy with this blender. Highly recommend it.
