I have used a Vitamix for the past 15 years. Just recently I had to get a new one because the one I shared with my sister went with HER! lol SO, I excitedly purchased a new one and am so glad I did. Many people suggested other types of blender machines but the Vitamix is so much more than a blender!
Pros: Speed of Service, Texture Quality, Durability, Easy to use, Versatility, Recipe Enhancement, Product features, Power
We have had our Vitamix for over a month and have found it great. We have been through several blenders in the past and finally invested. We find it works great for milkshakes and Abuelita hot chocolate. It is definitely more powerful and we are appreciating that. I worry a little that we (especially my teens) will forget that it must first be started in variable mode and somehow do damage, but otherwise it is a definite step-change in blender performance for us.
Me and my wife love this, I packed it up with kale thought it would die like , other brands nope it held up. I just had to drink the nasty kale juice after.lol
I have gone through several blenders and decided to really look at customer reviews. Vitamix was by far the recommended blender by professional reviewers, friends, and on-line users. I have used it every single day with the easy recipe book, and my husband and I can't believe we haven't gotten one before. I've gotten so comfortable with it, that I've experimented with some of my own blends for smoothies. The best part of the Vitamix, is that it has the power to create your recipe quickly and easily. You don't have to wait while it grinds away at ice cubes. Its motor is designed to make the drinks, soups, smoothies - whatever - for you with ease. Would highly recommend it.
I have owned the 5200, the s series personal blender, AND even the Ascent. My favorite is the 5200. The carafe is narrower and so you can use a smaller amount and still get it to blend super smooth. Since the carafe is also fairly tall, it does have ample room if you wish to make larger amounts. The personal size blender, to be honest, isn't much better than a cheapo nutribullet. The Ascent is nice, and I like the small cups that go on it, as theycare perfect size for making salad dressings for one or two people, or making a batch of some salsa Verde type sauce. But the shape of the carafe on the 5200, makes it ideal for me, since the two main things I use it for are turning frozen fruit into refreshing healthy sorbet, and for making greens heavy smoothies. If you want a blender for super smooth smothies, soups, and sorbets, then this is the best model to get. I have had mine for about 10 years, and I've never had a problem, and I've never had to replace a part.

This was my first Vitamix product and I love it. It is better than any blender I have ever used in my life. Even the blenders I've used at family members houses. No other blender can compare in my opinion. The warranty is also amazing, I don't think this thing will break down any time soon but if it did the warranty makes me feel good as well. I would recommend this product to everyone I know.

Best blender, powerful, simple features and design, well made & durable. This is our second blender. Gave my son our first, which is working as well as it did when we bought it in 2004. Love the simple features and use it a lot. Has great recipe suggestion too for both cold and hot food and beverages. Well worth the money.
