Battery doesn't last long enough.

If you have a property > 1/2 an acre you'll need extra batteries. One battery last for about 30 minutes. A replacement battery is pricey, hopefully the new power stack be more affordable.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Irritating tool

Line won’t auto feed…my son, nephew, son-in-law can’t get this to feed…and they all have extensive experience!!…the line gets used up after about 20-30 feet
and
disappears inside…got to stop constantly and refeed manually!!! Very irritating to say the least! If they’re all like this I would emphatically give no recommendation.

Just used this thing tonight and wow I'm impressed. String that comes with it is impressed too. No bog down at all on my propertys overgrown grass. Nice quality construction seems heavy duty and balanced well. Blower attachment is subpar though, hoping the hedge attachment is better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cordless String Trimmer

Everything seemed good on this trimmer until I had t change the string. I have had it now for about a year and I dread when the string runs out. It is a pain in the butt. Sometime I will wait until the next weekends yard work before replacing the string because I am just to tired after mowing, edging, weeding… to restring this spool. So inconvenient.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Leery of electric landscaping tools

I have to admit when I first bought this I was unsure of actually how strong it would be versus the gas trimmer that I own. When I unboxed it charged up the 60 V battery and took it outside I was more than surprised at how strong it was. I have a little over an acre of a yard and a lot of weeds sick brush and it went through it like a hot knife through butter. Very very happy with my new purchase! And with all that trimming that I did it only used a third of the battery.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This String Trimmer is a Beast!
Assembly is quick and easy! 5 minutes tops
The balance of this Trimmer is Spot on! When the battery is installed the balance is in the middle between the Front Handle and the Trigger / motor assembly. Meaning when holding and using by the front handle and trigger handle it almost feels weightless! Which is a good thing cause this Trimmer does have some weight to it.
On That Note: couple things I personally would have liked to see on this tool.
1) Somewhere to attach a shoulder trap (Shoulder strap option) of some kind. would help a great deal.
2) Some way to hang the tool in the shed, or garage, *there is not a hook, or key hole to hang the tool on a screw (example is the full size 18" DEWALT chain saw)
3) The Edger attachment.... would have been nice to be able to just spin the head or shaft of the tool for an Edger instead of purchasing a complete attachment. the option could easily been done.
All in All 5 STARS for sure!
I am very pleased with this tool. did not disappoint at all!

Bought the original 60v that didn’t allow attachments and absolutely loved it. My wife used it one time and lost the head cap. While looking for a replacement I can across this newer one that allows attachments. I haven’t had an edger since replacing my gas Husqvarna (and I missed having one). I had to buy another brand of edger attachment since Dewalt hasn’t released theirs yet, but it worked great. Was lighter than my old gas one and it has plenty of power. Kept it on the low setting and it worked fine. Much easier in my back than using the string trimmer.
I’ve been wanting Dewalt to come out with a 60V pole saw, so this will fill that spot. Going to order the pole saw attachment and brush cutter attachment when they are available.
I still plan on using my other Dewalt primarily for my string trimmer. Since the motor is in the head I feel it should be more durable (since there are less moving parts), but I absolutely love this trimmer.
I would recommend this to a friend!
