Tied up in knots: String won't stay loaded!

I wanted to love this weedeater, as I love every other Dewalt tool I have, and I have many. The battery is awesome - long lasting power! It's lightweight and easy for me to hold... BUT, I want to save someone the heartache of buying one, as I should've read the reviews first. Evidently I'm not the only one having this problem. No matter what string you buy, it will NOT stay loaded. You'll go about 10-12ft, and the string comes unloaded. I've tried everything, and I've given up. Heed my advice, or you'll be tied up in knots over this one!

Great power, feels professional grade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this several weeks ago and it has been a significant upgrade to the 20v DeWalt trimmer I had for the last 3 years. The upgraded power, and the ergonomics of having the motor up by the battery are very noticeable. I also appreciate the attachments even if they are not an elegant attachment method. Highly recommend overall, however I did upgrade to a Husqvarna T35 head which appears to be a compatible and worthy upgrade.

Great tool with the exception of the trimmer head

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this trimmer and am extremely happy with my decision to buy this over another gas trimmer. I was skeptical to make the leap from gas but my doubts were very quickly put to rest after a couple times using it. My only complaint and stopping me from giving it 5 stars is the trimmer head itself. The first one lasted about 6 uses before it started to go bad and not hold the line in anymore and by the 8th use it totally broke. So I bought another head in hopes that maybe just that one had issues but the new one I bought has started going bad after about 3 times using it. I have seen other reviews that show this is a common issue so please Dewalt address this issue because I can’t buy 2 new trimmer heads a year. I’m willing to pay more for the quality that the Dewalt name holds so I expect more and the quality to be throughout every part of the tool.

TOTAL GAME CHANGER-NEVER LOOK BACK

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have bought this over a year ago mainly for the brush cutter, yet still needed the trimmer. Man is this thing a beast! The trimmer is low speed is probably sufficient for most and will last over an hour. If you have crazy tall and thick grass, high speed knocks it down with no bogging down! Now using the brush cutter attachment(once sharpened) is a game changer. Anything up to 1" or so is gone. If the tool does get stuck on a big twig it automatically stops and you can pull the trigger after a second or so.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Replacement spring for DCST922 Weed eater

How can I get a replace spring for my weed eater. Mine fell out and my pup grabbed it before I could get it. Have no idea where it is and no stores around here sells them or has them in stock.

I’ve had this trimmer for less than a year and it worked great at first. Now it just ejects the any and all line that is put in there. It seems to be a common issue for a trimmer that is not cheap!! So frustrating!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible Trimmer

Purchased this trimmer online after checking-out some of the reviews, so I THOUGHT I was getting a superior product, especially for the amount of money spent.
After fully charging the battery and the first time using the trimmer, the battery only lasted about 10-12 minutes, which was only about 1/2 the time needed to complete the job. And I only ran it on low speed too, and the grass being trimmed wasn’t even that tall at only about 4-5” tall.
Then while trimming, the line kept getting jammed and then totally stopped feeding. I had to open the feeder cup 6 times and re-spool the line that YOU installed at the factory. Eventually the remaining footage of the spool of line actually just shot out of the spool cup onto the ground.
At this point, I would NOT recommend this product, unless you enjoy being aggravated!
Common DeWALT, get it together and fix these issue that many of us are having!!!
