Have not started the generator yet. Just finished putting oil in. It will require tool(s) and standing on your head or laying on the ground to pre-flight check the engine oil. Why was such an essential check made so inconvenient? Dipstick is buried behind a wire or cable bundle that doesn't move out of the way to remove or install the dipstick - once you find it. Why not a dip stick tube with a flexible dispstick that extends out to the user? (My truck has a dipstick that's about 30" long that makes 2 direction changes before reaching the oil and is easy to use.)

Reliable with plenty of power

I bought this about 18 months ago and used it on propane and gas. It starts up every time and gives me plenty of power. Hooked it up to my Generlink transfer switch and it couldn't be easier. Gets 8-10 hours on a grill sized tank.

I haven't had to use it much (thank goodness!) but the first time I did need it, I ran it long enough to have to stop it and perform the first oil change during an outage! Was back in business in 35 minutes and it ran flawlessly (on Propane. Less worries about storage than gasoline) for a total of 14 hours. Very easy to set up and convenient to store. I like it!

I purchased the 9500IH after buying my first house, it has been great. Maintenance is simple, it is more than enough to power my entire house during a power outage. Absolutely love it.

Awesome Generator!

This is my second generator form Duromax and I can’t say enough good things about them! I have the 9500 inverter and the 2300 inverter. They get used for loss of power for home back up, out in the field for power when needed, and on my 38’ 5th wheel when no hookups are available. They are super quiet and not intrusive on other people’s peace and quiet. I bought the 9500 to replace a 9000 watt predator gen I had. No comparison in quality. I recommend Duromax to anyone needing a new unit! Great quality for sure!
