Interior scratches and gets cloudy

We have had our Vitamix for 2 years and we love it. The only problem is the interior or the plastic container scratches and gets cloudy making it visibly unattractive. Only dish detergent is used to clean it. We only use vegetables in the blender and avoid seeds and acidic substances such as lemons. I'm not sure why this interior deterioration occurs. If you could make a glass or Pyrex container that would be wonderful. But the plastic just doesn't compare with the quality of the machine.

What can be said about a smaller container? Love to size. It's easier to clean for smaller portions. Does what it should. If you love your Vitamix as much as I do, but wish the original container was a bit smaller... well, this is for you.

I have had my Vitamix for 10 years now. I love it and still think it's the best purchase I've ever made. I recently dropped my original Container and it broke. I was devastated but I ordered another one that day and received it a few days later. I can't live without my Vitamix!

Suggestion on how to avoid damage to your BLENDER

I would like to add a feature needed ..on the TOP add a different color like a dot or add always place the dobber on the outside of the LID.....I did it 2x the first time I
ruined the dobber the second time I ruined the plastic blender (it made a hole in the side) therefor cannot use it again - I bought the 48 oz. size...I like the original size the best, just to save money I bought the smaller on.
