The container is awful. It scratches and looks cloudy very quickly. I follow all the cleaning instructions and the container looks horrible. There needs to be a fix to that and a container made that could be for both dry and wet ingredients versus purchasing 2.

All of our containers are made of BPA Free Tritan which, though sturdy enough to handle high-powered blending, can become marred or scratched by blending dry ingredients! This will not impact the performance of your product in any way. If your container has developed a cloudy build up, we can provide you with some cleaning tips to clear that up if you can email us directly at service@vitamix.com!

We have had our Vitamix blender for several years and love it, but it wouldn't fit under the upper cabinets with the cannisters attached. This 48-oz cannisters is the perfect height! It is still large enough for anything we make (primarily smoothies) and now it can slide all the way to the wall under the upper cabinets, cannisters attached, and is out of the way!
