I bought this two months ago and it has replaced my larger 64 oz tall container. This 48 oz size is perfect for everyday use, especially blending smoothies or things like nuts for baking. The blades are great quality and it’s all easy to clean. Would recommend

I use our Vitamix at least once a day. I bought the container to fit under cabinets so that I could leave it out. I have standard cabinets and have to put the lid upside down to fit underneath. It works fine but I was disappointed it isn't a half-inch shorter. Also, I indicated “novice” to your question as to my ability in the kitchen. A better option would have been disinterested. And I am no novice to kitchen disinterest. The Vitamix is well suited to those who aren't home in a kitchen.

I have owned my Vitamix for about 5 years. I love it. One day my old container made a horrible noise and started smoking!!! It was dead! Had to get a new one and decided on the short/squatty one so I could sit it on the counter, under the upper cabinets- great fit. The first time I used it I was surprised how much quieter it was than the old one- I think the bearings had slowly been going bad and had gradually become more and more noisy. I sure am happy with the new container. The only drawback I see is that the handle is hollow which I think will make keeping it clean a bit more difficult. Too bad these cost so much money.
