My VitaMix is 20 years old. Wonderful appliance. The original container developed a crack and I lived with the leak for several years due to my budget. Finally was forced to look into buying another, as the leak increased. Didn't realize there were different sizes. I chose a smaller one because it was cheaper. So glad I did. It meets my needs, plus it fits under the kitchen cabinet doors. I'm back to happily making smoothies every morning, and soups weekly.

I am very happy with the quality of vitamix and love my machine. I purchased the 48 oz. container so the machine would fit under my kitchen cabinet, but unfortunately, it still doesn’t unless I remove the lid and store it in a cabinet.

I use my container for a daily morning vegetable drink. There are two things I would like to see improved. First is the pour spout. I don't know exactly how but I have had pitcher pour spouts that are formed to resist dripping. This spout drips way too much. Secondly, if the container is not towel dried right after washing, the water and plastic forms a rough film that cannot be removed even with vinegar soaking and scrubbing. I have other plastic/acrylic containers that do not have that problem. Perhaps it is the type of acrylic used.
