[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shaver is definitely closer than my previous top-of-the-line Philips while being just as comfortable a shave. One problem: there is a GREAT DEAL of extra material surrounding the rotary housing. Those squared-off edges and extra size may look good, but it makes it VERY hard to shave up under the nose. My previous shaver had much less surrounding the cutting heads and so didn't have that problem. Keeps me from being 100% thrilled with the product.

I have always been a Phillips electric shaver user. My observation is that over the years Phillips has made incremental improvements to the electric shaver and are therefore market leaders when it comes to electric shaver. You will not be disappointed.

I don’t have a problem with the shaver other than the size of the shaving head makes it a little more difficult to get into those tight areas like around the nose. It is also difficult to determine exactly where the cutting heads are when trimming when shaving in front of the ears where the side buns are. In my opinion, a more compact area around each of the shaving heads would all for more control. I wanted to purchase the cleaning pod but had a difficult time determining if this shaver was compatible. Turns out it is compatible but it does not time itself to automatically shut off after 1 minute. When you purchase the top of the line shaver, the cleaning pod should have been included. A lack of information made it difficult to purchase the pod. The website was of little help. It is included with lower priced units which does not make sense. I also don’t like the charger. It is another piece of hardware that you have to store or sits on your counter. When traveling, it is another item that you have to pack. There is no ability to charge the shaver without the charging pad.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a long-time Philips Shaver user (with a short, unpleasant trip to the "B" side). This razor is incredibly quiet, shaves incredibly well, and lives up to the hype.
I must say that I don't much like how much plastic is "lateral" to the cutting heads since that makes it somewhat more difficult to shave up to a border. I have been able to cope with it, it just seems a bit awkward. I am disappointed that the trimmer is not "attached" to the razor, but that is a very minimal complaint.
I was very surprised, since I don't shave everyday, at how well the razor cut through 3-day growth and did it with as much comfort as with 1-day growth! Truly a quality product. Highly recommended!
