I like this shaver but I don’t like the attachment. That’s why I didn’t give it 5 stars. My previous shaver had a built in trimmer and it trimmed very close but this shaver has no built in trimmer and the trimmer provided as an attachment doesn’t trim close enough compared to my old one. Philips should have kept in built trimmer or provided a better attachment.

Hi, Iman
Thank you for leaving your feedback. We are glad you are enjoying your Wet&Dry Prestige shaver, however we are sorry that you would prefer having a built-in trimmer. One of the advantages of having attachments is that you can clean them thoroughly and, as you probably know, this ensures that the performance of your shaver is always optimal. If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch via social media. We’re available 24/7 on Facebook and Twitter. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further. Hope to speak to you soon!
Kind regards,

Great shaver at last

Having been a long time user of the 9000 series and having often had issues with its contour shaving, I bought this reluctantly. Oh boy!!,, what a shave this gives.. Philips has definitely upped the blades and the contour adjustments in this prestige version and they give a better shave than the 9000 series. The razor also adjusts to the beard size and like quoted gives a much closer shave. The wireless charging pad that it comes with can be used to charge your mobile phones ( if they're wireless charging enabled) or any other devices that are wireless charging enabled. My only complaint is that the carry box is so bulky than its previous versions, but I understand it is bulky to give space to fit in the wireless charger and the trimmer.

Definitely a Norelco rotary shaver; probably 20 years at this point. When changing shavers I've only noticed a big upgrade moving to the 6000 series with V-tech blades and floating heads. The SP9820 is a similar system, but I wanted it anyway and I'm a bit blown away by how much better it is. Motor is quieter but more powerful. Blades need almost no pressure. It looks and holds in the hand awesome. Three shaves in and really enjoying it. Did not think I'd be motivated to write a review, but it's a shocking improvement over my 6885

Great overall razor. Only issue I have is the lack of a stand. First shaver from Phillips I have purchased in several decades that doesn't have a stand. It needs one to let the water drain after cleaning, rather than having water run down your hand the next shave. Please make an stand for this shaver!
Pros: great close shave
Cons: no stand.

Have been using Philishaves for 50 years. This model provides the closest most comfortable shave ever. But: no stand no built-in trimmer did not come with cleaning brushes Travel pouch is too bulky. Conclusion:

Miss having a built in trimmer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s quieter than older models but it’s huge and the separate attachment for a trimmer versus every other model is a huge downside.

Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm happy to hear you are satisfied with the amount of noise the shaver produces. However, I do understand that having a seperate attachment for the trimmer and the size of the model can take some getting used to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 5 because it cuts well and I like the three speeds even though I run on high most of time. The 1 thing I consider a poor design is the head and cutters. There is way too much “dead space” on the outside edges making it hard to get into tight spaces like under your nose.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The squareness of the rotor housing is too big making it difficult to get close around the nose and ear tragus. The squared housing appears to be for aesthetics. The housing around the rotors should be trimmed and should have a minimum distance from the edge of the rotor. This design seems as if the design team does not use electric razors. Previous versions were much better.
