This is the best rotary shaver I own and I have tried many. Provides a quite, fairly close and quick comfortable shave of my very coarse beard but it does leave behind some rough areas (usually neck area) often requiring a quick touch up wth a blade or even foil electric shaver. Have tried it wet and dry with and without preshave. Works best dry using Afta or Speick preshave solution.

I shopped around & finally decided on the Phillips 9000 & I am so pleased with my choice. It does such an excellent job & is so quite that you hardly know that it is on, has 3 comfort levels to choose from, holds a charge for many shaves & clean up is easy.
