Shaves Long Whiskers Without Pulling, Long Lasting

I shave 50% with a safety razor after showering and 50% dry. Occasionally I go 3 - 5 days without shaving and my long hard whiskers are hard to cut. If I have time I occasionally shave with a straight razor, just to keep up my skills.
The S9000 Prestige will do the job with any length of whisker without pulling or pinching. I have had it a year now, still as good as new. As with any electric shaver you need to use it a week or two before it breaks in and works smoothly. And I find it uses about 3 percent battery per use. I call it long lasting.
Comment on closeness: A five or so blade disposable safety razor gives the closet shave but only if your whiskers are only short to begin with. Then a straight razor. This electric shaver is as close or closer than other electric shavers I have used before, a great shave, close, but not as close as a five or seven blade disposable razor.
If I could only have one shaver to keep and use from now on it would be this one, the S9000 Prestige.

Over the past 35 years I have only used razor blade shavers for a nice clean shave. I purchased two electric shavers in the past and ended up being dissatisfied and returning them and going back to get the old standby razors. Over the years I became really fed up with the poor quality of razors as well as getting nicks often. I grew older and was more than ready for a change. After reading over 300 reviews, I decided to purchase the best Norelco Philips Shaver S9000 Prestige Wet & dry electric shaver, Series 9000 SP9860/86. I am so thankful I did. The Philips Shaver S9000 Prestige Wet & dry electric shaver, Series 9000 SP9860/86 is impressive the second you turn it on. It gives me a clean shave. I truly don’t think there isn't any comparison between an electric shaver vs. a razor. The S9000 is so convenient. I shave in the morning and then again in the evening. I do not need shaving cream or moisturizer. I have rosacea, and the razors would irritate my skin. My skin looks much better, and no irritation with the S9000. I encourage you to give the S9000 a two-week trial period and I PROMISE you won't be disappointed. I would recommend the S9000.

Fast and QUIET!

I’ve previously had a foil shaver that worked well but was extremely loud. As I shave early in the morning - it annoyed everyone. My new Norelco is almost silent in comparison.
I am using the wireless charger and it is far more convenient than having to plug in the device and worry about fluid contamination at the plug interface. I installed a new outlet plug in my bathroom that has an integrated USB charging port - so that I do not have to use the big USB charging adapter to charge my Norelco. The whole unit ends up being very low profile. It also leaves both outlets available for others to use.
Overall this is a great unit, and well worth the purchase cost.

Comfortable and great shave

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had used Philips Norelco shavers for decades before somewhat reluctantly switching brands due to disappointingly poor performance by the last Philips model I owned. But I was not a significant improvement and the design left beard particles everywhere. This S9000 is great from a performance perspective. The instructions are a bit lacking and I still don't care for the awkward trimmer, but overall, five stars!
