I have use Phillips Norelco razors since 1965. I wouldn’t consider using another product. With this new Prestige razor, I get the closest and most comfortable shave ever. I highly recommend this razor.
Pros: comfort, close shave, battery life
Cons: pricy but worth it

This thing is awesome. It provides a super close shave and the battery last using only about 3% battery life per shave on the medium setting. I wish the wireless charger was more of a stand than a flat plate. The razor feels sturdy and well build. Here's to hoping it last nearly 10 years like my last Norelco arcitec.

This is not my first electric shaver. I used foil one (Baraun) and few rotary (Philips). This is the best I ever had hands down. I love the design but how it shave.... wow... so nice, quiet operation, and very close shave. Wireless charging is just an icing on the cake. I really hope that Philips will allow me to buy replacement shaving head in couple of years and quality wil be the same.
Pros: very close shaving, nice design, quiet operation
Cons: not sure... maybe high price

I had to wait to purchase this gem because of the price but after getting it and using it for a month or so, it has proven to be the best of the best that Philips has come up with. Shaves closer than any razor I have had, thanks Philips for bringing perfection to the forefront! Keep up the great work.

Great shaver a little bulky

The shaver give me great shaves with no irritation except for the mustache area where I have to pass my 1520 (1000 série) for a better job. I don’t see any advantage to the charging pad instead of a cord. It makes it more bulky for nothing specially if you travel a lot. It takes a lot of place for nothing. Other than that, it’s a great shaver

Being a fan of foil shavers through the years ( The "B" and "P" brands), I was always skeptical of trying a rotary head style shaver, especially given their limitations of shaving effectively below the chin line.
But after my last one failed on me and doing extensive research and reviews of the latest shavers, I decided to take a swing for the fences and pick up Philips Norelco's best shaver, the Prestige S9860.
Even before waiting out the trial period, I immediately noticed a closer shave and hardly (if at all, any) facial hairs left, even on the challenging areas where those stubborn facial hairs like to lay close to the skin.
The quality built of this shaver is A+ as is it's carry case and charger, which for this model can be charged either via USB or standard plug in.
And I like the two year warranty period, so I'm confident I know I purchased a quality piece of machinery.

After using my previous Philips shaver for many years, it finally needed to be replaced. I knew the old shaver wasn't giving me the best shave and was causing irritation, but I also remembered how it felt when it was new. So I ordered the S9000 Prestige Ultimate SP9820/87. It not only left my face feeling completely smooth, but it did not irritate or drag at all. It was a great shave in a lot less time. I am back to enjoying my shaving experience!
