Over the years I have owned seven Norelco Rotary Razors. Most of them have given me at least a good shaving experience. A few did not shave as close as I would like, and at least one tended to pull on whiskers. The Norelco 9000 Prestige that i bought about a month ago is in a class by itself. It not only is the most comfortable electric shave I have ever experienced it is faraway the closest electric shave I have ever had. For me at least it is as close as a manual razor. I use it dry and see no reason to try it wet. Congratulations on a superb product. Pricey, but worth it!

I have used Phillips shavers for a long time, over 50 years, and the Prestige is the best ever. Shaving dry, past rotary shavers were easy on the face but not as close as foil models. Foil models gave me a “burn” so it was always a choice. Not so with the Prestige. It is as close as a foil but still as comfortable as ever. It is also very quiet. The only negative is it doesn’t come with a cleaning unit so you have to spend a few minutes to take the head off and rinse it out. On the plus side no need to purchase cleaning solution.
Pros: quiet
Cons: no stand or cleaning unit

The Philips S9000 far exceeds my previous Philips / Norelco shavers in ease of use; comfort and closeness of shaving; and ease of cleaning and shaver head replacement. The S9000 is well designed and should give me many years of dependable use.

Easy on my face

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am coming from an inline electric shaver to the triple rotary and find that I don't have to push against my skin so much to get a close shave. The rotary also seems to cover more area at a time and therefore gives me a faster shave than the inline shaver. I have caught my lip in the shaver a couple of times, so I have to tuck my lips in when I go around my mouth and the curve of the rotary head makes it a challenge to get a straight line around the sideburn areas and under the nose. As the instructions say, the shaving experience improves the more you use it and your skin gets acclimated to this type of shaver.

Great close shave

I have used the shaver for 3 weeks but decided to keep it after the first couple of days. I shave daily and have had multiple philips norelco shavers over 25 years. This is the best shave yet and worth the money. I use a preshave (williams) which I find helpful.It doesn't have a pop-up trimmer so in lieu of using the attachment I also purchased the multigroom 3000 trimmer. The trimmer works better for sideburns as well as as trimming evrything else (nostrils, ears, eyebrows, etc.). Only complaint is the website indicates replacement head has a 2 year lifespan and the manual indicates a 1 year lifespan.
