I have flipped between foil and rotary razors for years. After multiple flips, I gravitated back to rotaries as they just seem to do a better job for me. Foils always have one or more trouble areas that never get cut. I opted for this model, given the strong reviews and so far, I am not disappointed. It shaves relatively quick, with a choice of three speeds for comfort. My face can take the fastest speed, so my shave goes quickly. The shaved is very quiet, which I like as well. The wireless charging is cool, even though is it nowhere as fast as charging by plugging in, and that's not an option with this razor. But, the digital display shows me the charge percentage every shave, so if I let it die, that's entirely on me.
Well this is the first time I purchased a rotary Razer usually I purchase foil or a t-blade. The look of this razer caught my attention and led me to buy despite the views that showed some interesting opinions. Most of them were of the sort about having to conduct multiple passes during a single shave. I can attest to that. I have shaved one spot atleast 10 times and the hair remained the same length as before the shave. Idk why Phillips is claiming this to be one of the best on the market, secondly despite the price I decided to give it a shot and I must say I have to give it a 3. Maybe if my hair was of a different texture this might work, but for the average user idk. I definitely do not think this is worth anywhere near what I paid.
I had an older version (7 years old) from the same brand and 2 prior experiences. Always was pleased with the quality. I've never had a problem paying up for quality but I thought this one may just be over priced. I was wrong. I have been living like so many of us) in an uncertain, challenging Corona-virus world so I would be off 2 weeks and on 2 weeks. My old Phillips was obviously slowing down so rather than replacing blades and maybe a battery I shifted to buying a new one. I shopped my trusted brand as well as others when I came across this one. At first I thought, no way I'm spending that much on an electric razor. After 2 days of not shaving I decided to buy this one from a not so big box store because I enjoy seeing and paying the people I buy from and also like being able to "kick the tires first". Brought it home. Very well packaged. Good travel case. Some accessories I may never use. The battery was dead and needed to be charged. I must admit it was kind of cool to have it place itself correctly on the wireless charging stand. When I got to use it it had been 3 days since my last shave so I wan't expecting much being a neanderthal other than having to spend 25 minutes shaving. OK. So I messed a few spots but within 10 minutes had a shave that was closer than what I've had using my old one every day. I do have a very coarse thick beard and being off work for 2 more weeks got lazy and only shaved every other day. amazingly I could do that and within 6-7 minutes my face and neck were baby smooth with no irritation. I even made my wife feel my face and even though she thought it was a trick :) she admitted it was smooth. So the long made short. I made the right choice with this razor. It does a great job! The variable speed is nice too. I use medium to get the job done and then for the last minute or so go to high to polish the job off. I am curious to see how long the blades last before they need to be replaced.

Been off of blades for almost a year now!

After almost a year of shaving with the Philips S9000 Prestige, I can honestly say that I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this product due to design and comfort. Closeness of shaves are comparable to shaving with blades against the grain. Another great feature is battery life. I typically only charge it about once a month. I will say this: if you're going from blade to electric razor, do give your skin at least 30 days to get used to electric.

I replaced a less expensive Phillips Norelco rotary shaver with this one in hopes of treating myself to the benefits of their highest end shaver. Well it did not disappoint. Close shave to rival a blade. Love the design and digital charge indicator. Easy to clean and maintain. I attached a photo showing how I'm using a cheap elastic wrist band to secure the shaver to the charger allowing it to stand on a socket shelf I have installed in my bathroom next to a mirror. Saves space. Easy and quick to remove and replace allowing the device to charge and store efficiently.
I have used virtually every shaving device over many years. My face is too sensitive for manual razors and I have always preferred the even shave a rotary electric razor provides. But fairly recently I also tried the top-rated foil electric razors given their power and speed. The foil electric razors are fast but do not provide an even shave given that they are poor at getting to facial hair on the neck and in crevices. The Philips S9000 Prestige solves the problem by manifesting everything one would desire in an electric rotary razor: it is fast; it is gentle; it does not get hot on the face; it provides an even shave by being excellent at getting to curves on the neck and other facial crevices. This is a very expensive electric razor that ends up being worth it. I only wish it came with a cleaning station. And the three-speeds are unnecessary given how gentle the device is on your face. I highly and unhesitatingly recommend the Philips S9000 Prestige. It is the best electric razor ever made.

Great Shaver

The product does the core job, shaving, awesomely. One understated feature is the Qi charging. I almost returned this product when I received it given the large charging solution. I travel frequently, and sometimes for longer than the charge will last. I would not want to add the additional bulk of the large pad charger pad and a corded only option does not exit. What I discovered is that my phone uses Qi charging and can act as a charging pad for this shaver. I charged from 30% to 100% in about 2 hours. This is a great feature for road warriors who value efficient packing. The only thing missing was a smaller travel case, but I was able to find a Phillips generic case online that fit perfectly.
