First time I plugged this unit into my TV and did a channel search I got all kinds of channels and it was great. Then I tried to switch from HDMI connection to standard av rcas. Now I can't get any channels even when I switch it back to HDMI.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worked for about a week. Then nothing.

This stopped working in about a week. Will not turn on anymore. Seems to not be getting power. Even though the outlet it is plugged into works fine. Apparently by these reviews this is a problem with them. But mine lasted only a week.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great idea tv recorder and digital tuner in one!

I bought this about five days ago. My old one had quit. This one was so easy to set up and so quickly stored television stations even had more TV stored stations from this tuner than the other one I owned.
I would recommend this to a friend!
