Simple, but useful DVR/Converter box

Think of this as a VCR on steroids. The device is simple, but works perfectly, and the ATSC 1.0 tuner appears to be pretty sensitive too. It received all but one of my local stations with a rather poor indoor antenna, and the 'missing' one was in fine with a good external antenna, so everything I could want and more.
I appreciated the many interconnect ports -- everything from RF feedthrough to HDMI and baseband video -- anything your monitor or TV needs is likely here, and it 'just works'.
I didn't actually need to read the user manual to set this up, but if you've never done anything like this before, the instructions are well done, and actually written in English! The process itself was simple: plug it in, connect an antenna, hook it to the TV, scan for local stations, insert the USB stick and watch/record TV as you want.
An excellent value for the money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Either doesn't record as programmed or shuts off part way through recording.
Operating and programming are hard to figure out, but we would figure that out with regular use. But why even try when it doesn't work most of the time.

I just bought this and it makes Air Antenna enjoyable and worth it. Signal and picture is enhanced and as good as Cable or Sat.
