just bought,but the fact remains will not scan radio channels.there is no function from that or a way.why put that in when it does not work.still worth using for the tv.

The digital convertor is good for the price, but the instruction manual is marginal at best. I would probably spend more and get a better one if I ever need to replace it.

Does exactly what it says it does

I purchased this a few weeks ago. It does have the ability to record based on a time schedule ( I am currently recording to a USB flash drive that I have plugged into the front of the device). The remote is a bit laggy between the time the user presses a button and when the button response actually occurs. It has coaxial and HDMI out.. My current setup is a 1 to 2 splitter and I use my tv's primary tuner to watch tv (the tv has a faster response time) and on the second part of the splitter, I have attached the coaxial to this device to record shows that I am unable to watch. The recording feature works great (there is a slight learning curve for the recording setup and general settings--so don't expect to purchase it before your favorite show and be ready to record and walk away). This device is totally worth it!

It works

While the unit is a bit buggy, it does do what it claims to do. The remote sucks and is mushy, and it can be slow to respond. However, all of the video outputs are active at the same time, so it's nice if you want to attach multiple TVs to it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
