Well I thought it was an amazing device for the first month. Then one day it just would not turn on anymore.

Setup was fast and easy. This thing is loaded with lots of features. My reason for giving this 4 stars is because I could not auto scan or manually tune radio channels.

extremely glad I ran across this product, never miss a show .you have to use a flash drive or up to a 2 gig external hard drive, and the flash drive or external hard drive will play on a computer or a comparable devise. no monthly rental bill. it is programable .has closed captioning, up to 1080i resolution love this "Digital TV Turner + Recorder "

Lots of things not covered in the manual

1. Do not use any USB storage device larger than can be formatted by FAT32. The tuner will not recognize storage devices of such size, and any attempt to access them will be met with an indicator that there are no USB devices available.
2. Do not leave inserted any USB storage that has been made bootable by the existence of folders named 'boot' and 'efi'. This will cause the tuner to try to boot from the USB storage but it will not succeed and it will stop responding to user inputs. The only solution is to disconnect the power and reconnects it.
3. The media playback for movies also supports MP4 format in addition to the ones listed in the manual. Other unmentioned file formats may be supported.

Was looking for something to do recording of shows we miss since getting rid of cable and going to 4K Antenna and streaming. Works well for our application.
