Works pretty good as long as it lasts. It’s a bit glitchy. It usually doesn’t last more than six months to a year if you’re lucky. For that reason it’s pretty much garbage. I’m on set 4 or 5 in the last 3 years. My current one is dead at four days. Not kidding. Time to take back yet another one. C’mon GPX can’t you make a product that last? Jeez!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works well for what I need

I need a TV tuner that lets be add channels at a different antenna direction, as well as being able to record and rewind/fast forward while watching, all of which this does well. I mostly use it as a simple tuner, I also record shows (like daily Jeopardy) to watch when I come in later.
I do find it locking up and rebooting from time to time, and I bought one that failed after 11 days, but I had an earlier version for several years. I'd love to buy something a little higher end, similar to Tablo or even TiVo, but they all fail to do what I want which is to control the process at a low level. Instead they try to do for me things I don't want to do.

Easy to Install

We just bought this machine and I was very happy to have such a easy installation. The directions were easy to understand so I had the Digital TV Tuner and Recorder working in five minutes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought one for the sister in law and we liked it so much that we bought the 2nd one for her and 1 for our shelf. now to play around with it to get familiar with all it can do. the only thing is the instructions could be alittle better
