Great alternative to a satellite dvr

I used to subscribe to a satellite service just to be able to record the local channels. With this product I was able to terminate the satellite service and now able to record the off air local broadcasts as before without paying a service fee.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to install, easy to record , easy to schedule recordings. And very affordable. Glad I bought it. No more Directv for me. They could add a full guide of all the channels but thats
only a suggestion.

Audio / sync issue, slow response to remote

No instructions in manual on how to set up timer to record - I had to consult YouTube. VCRs and DVD recorders had better instructions. Device is slow to respond to remote.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great unit for the price!

I picked this up to use because of issues with my TV. I had a set top tuner years ago, but all it did was let you see channels. This one has a guide (albeit a bit limited), and can also record to a USB drive, which is great. Picture is very good. It's not 4k, but neither is my TV, but it's nice and clear.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What I've been looking for

While I just purchased this device a few days ago, it works so well I just bought A second one for another site. I have a complex A/V installation with all manner of input and output devices. I use a Denon AVR as my control for everything. I have a 4k Epson projector to which I could only feed programming from my cable provider. My television has an excellent tuner for local stations, but I can't feed that output to my Denon (and on to the Epson). This product solves that problem - perfectly. I haven't tried to record as yet, and that's not my objective. But picture and sound quality from this device are better than expected. Unlike another reviewer, I believe it's well designed and intuitive. I can't believe it offers all that it does at its price point.
