First one I bought. Did not work correctly. I took back to retailer. Second one woked fine. Freezes up on occasion.

These devices have very short life spans. I’ve never had one last longer than a year. They work ok for the price. Pausing and resuming can be glitchy. At times it has a picture issue. Goes all pixelated or freezes. I usually just record a few shows. I’m on my fifth or sixth so far. The shortest one lasted was about a month, took it back and got a replacement. Just got a new one after a year or so. After this one fails, and it will, I’m going to get different kind of device. Keep in mind these are sold under different names. The interface is all the same.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
