Cut the cable is painful but this helps

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cut the cable but wanted a way to record local antenna TV. It's not as convenient as my Dish TV which I eliminated. But it does work in a pinch to record network shows without having to purchase yet another streaming service.. I had to replace the batteries in the remote and the remote is finicky as you have to be fairly close to the tuner to change channels.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great addition to my projector setup

I purchased this unit to use as a replacement to a unit I’d bought just a couple months earlier online that had gone bad. This GPX unit was 30%less and has twice as many features as the unit I was replacing. So far I’m a very happy customer

Not for large hands

This unit does a fair job recording shows but lacks some ease of use features. The remote is hard to use for any one with large hands as the buttons are very small and too close together. Programming for more than one day a week is difficult as there are only one day and 7 day choices. Another small thing is the usb jack on the front is a poor location as this placement has the usb drive sticking out where it can be hit if cleaning or if someone walks too close to the cabinet where the unit sits. A major complaint is when rescanning for channels the unit erases all the recording settings.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This works great for an over the air DVR recorder. Just need to add a good jump drive or portable hard drive. Easy to program and use.

Unit stopped working after a week of usage. Now completely dead with no power light. This is the 2nd unit that failed like that.
