Nice Fitbit upgrade

I replaced my Fitbit Charge 2 with this Versa 3. It’s larger in size but the screen quality is so much better. I can read whole texts but unless you have an android phone, you can’t reply. The Alexa or Google voice command is nice. The exercise choices on the APP are quite a few and well designed. I like the Sleep Mode so it doesn’t light up at night while tracking your sleep quality. You can answer calls but the volume is too low for talking and for hearing the incoming caller. Taking the strap on and off is much easier than past editions. I lie being able to change the clock face to suite your personality.
Overall I’m happy with my upgrade but find I won’t use all the features this Fitbit comes with.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Only certain banks work with the fitbit pay

I bought this watch today specifically so I can use it to pay with and it doesn't support Scotiabank.. should really describe better that only certain banks alow you to use this feature. Really disappointed that I will now have to go through a return process

Dissapointing

Disappointed with fitbit.
My watch continually disconnects from the app and Bluetooth. The remedy suggested by Fitbit? Uninstaller and reinstall. Well, I have to do that every morning if I want to see my sleep tracker.
It is supposed to auto detect a work out or a walk, which it never has. It can't even auto detect that I have finished my workout, after 2 hours!
There is really nothing about this watch that makes it worth purchasing. I wish I had spent my money on a Samsung watch, or something else of the likes.
Also, Google assist does not work in Canada... why?? I have no idea. If you want to use voice assistant, you have to set to America, which then gives all measurements in Imperial...
Also, don't expect to get any exciting features advertised without signing up and paying for fitbit premium, which they push HARD.
Junk. I am continually struggling to make this work, but I am over it.

Battery drain

We purchased this so drivers can keep in touch using voice-text hands free, making and taking calls. You can not make calls from this they send the call directly to your phone when you make them from the watch and you can not in any way turn off the heart rate monitor no matter what, it consumes almost a full day's worth of the battery making this the worst choice if you want long battery life, it should be an option to turn off.

I purchased this to upgrade from my versa and I am really happy with the upgrade. It’s a little bigger than my old versa so that took some getting used to but overall it’s familiar and just more up to date.
I am sad that some of the old clock faces and apps don’t work on the new watch though (even though the app was just the treasure hunting one).
I like the way the new watch band clicks into place it’s much easier to put on and off

Band Issues

The tracker/watch does what I need it to do. When I can keep it in position. I needed a large wrist band and the included large band is simply a longer version of one side of the band. So now when I attach it to the buckle it is only a third of the way around the band. The buckle wins when it comes to placement. The buckle insists on being centre on the underside of my wrist. This shifts the face of the tracker over to the outside of my wrist and rests on the wrist bone, right where the only button on the tracker is. This causes the button to be pushed very regularly and strange things come up on the face all the time. So now I spend most of my time turning the band so the unit is on the top centre of my wrist. But it won't stay there. I have been buying after market bands to try to fins something that works. But they also like to just extend the one side for a large. Something about MBA's I believe. Saving a penny 10,000 times is a lot of pennies. Anyway I have now ordered a magnetic loop type band and suspect that will work a little better.

Syncing and notification issues

While I love the style, responsiveness, and smart features (including a mic and speaker), the notification features are poor. Sometimes the watch drops sync/connectivity with my android, so notifications aren't received on the watch. And some notifications just never work such as those from a Ring device. Contacting Fitbit was useless. They acted like they'd never heard of the problem despite numerous posts on their own forums complaining of the issue, dating back to 2019! I have another smartwatch that gets Ring notifications just fine. The fact that Fitbit can't fix this is disturbing. On the plus side, speaking to the assistant works very well for getting information, and setting alarms, etc.
