Amazfit Band 5 a bright little smartwatch

What I like most about the Amazfit Band 5: stays connected to my Android phone and has a bright screen. Also like the ability to connect to Google Fit, pai, and oxygen monitor (Sp02).

I’d say it’s nothing spectacular but it does the job. The teeny tiny screen can be frustrating at times and you can accidentally set up an alarm at 7 am as I did, which was beyond annoying but it’s affordable and counts your steps so I guess I’d say it’s just decent.

Great for the Price!

This band has a ton of nice features and the software works well. I had an earlier Amazfit device a couple of years ago and found it lacking. That watch's best feature was a super long battery life. This new band and software combo is much improved over that version. I like the new features which enable me to check my blood oxygen level and track my nap activity. And being able to wear this band in the shower means I only have to take it off once a week to recharge it. My hope for the future is that the next generation of the Amazfit product will also provide ECG and BP readings too. Until then, this will be my daily wear fitness band.

I love the band and its value for money compared to the other branded expensive fitness trackers. This band has all the features that top of the line fitness watches/bands have.
Pros:
- Amazing battery life. I only have to charge once in 10-12 days with all features enabled.
- The band is very light weight and fits well on hand. No irritation so far since 1.5 months of usage.
- Sleep analysis is top notch. Very accurate to the minute.
- Steps count is accurate. Band has lots of exercise options to select from.
- App is very good and has everything in one single place unlike Apple watch where you need multiple apps.
- Oxygen meter is accurate.
- Nice heart rate graphs to analyze your heart rate when you exercise. Every workout has an individual graph.

- Does not detect exercise automatically.
- Does not calculate calorie accurately if you do not choose the Exercise type. Calorie count differs significantly between not choosing any exercise type and choosing lets say "Walking" when i go for a 5 mile walk. Its like 300KCal vs 800 KCal.
- All measuring units are in km, kg, etc. I wish these change automatically when you select country. Not a big deal. I could change manually in app

I still give this a 5-star rating as I use it for my sleep analysis and goals (Steps, Calorie). Its motivation and a reminder to get active. And all of this for a fraction of what other watches cost.
