Gets the Job Done

Reliable, Runs my entire house including water well and 3 ton A/C with soft start. Good value. Heavy but not to difficult to move around with installed wheels. Simple process to deploy when needed with interlock and 50 amp power outlet. Duel fuel option is a plus although I have yet to use gasoline and have run exclusively on propane.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quiet and sips gas

I bought this on black friday and it showed up faster than expected. After buying break in oil and synthetic for after I hooked it up to my house. It worked great and was almost silent inside except while running the dryer where it was running at full speed. It used 2.5 gallons over the 8hr breakin. I was using between 1-2kw the whole time. I bought it for home backup power and hope to not have to use it but it's proven quite capable!

I purchased this about a year ago and am very pleased with it. It is very smooth running not like some that virbrates a lot. Easy connected when you need backup power. The best thing I like is Duromax support the people there will do everything they can to support your needs.

My new generator

So I got my generator had a dent on the gas tank but no worries everything else works awesome this thing is so quiet I mean you can still hear it yeah but not like old generators this thing is probably 1/3 of the sound of a regular generator I'm very happy with my new purchase and I broke it in changed the oil and ready to rock and roll soon as my electrician friend from across the street comes to help me out. You can't go wrong on this purchase I bought this for Florida but I couldn't resist the deal that they had for Black Friday.

This is a review of ownership of only 3 days just after the break-in period. I will only be using this gen for power outage emergencies, so long term use such as construction usage will not be a factor. The crankcase holds roughly 40 ounces of oil. I used a measure cup for 8 ounces, so one full quart plus the 8 ounces was perfect for not over filling and making a total mess of oil running everywhere. Filled the tank with gasoline and it fired right up. I have a 50 amp manual generator transfer box. While in break-in, I was able to turn certain appliances off and on to see exactly how much power each one used, thanks to the built in digital display the generator has. The 11K gen is very quiet compared to my old 5k and the 11K is surprisingly lighter than my 5k. I suppose it has a lot to do with nice handles this one has. The manual said to run 6 to 8 hours during the break-in period and keep load below 50%. I split the difference and ran just over 7 hours. I ordered the oil they sell online, Lucas 30W Break-in Oil and Lucas Synthetic 10W30. This gen performed very well. It was able to power my electric hot water heater, about 4500 watts, just fine. However, it did not want to power my Geo-Thermo HVAC on heat setting. I chose this 11k model hoping that it would run it, but it wouldn't. My HVAC is roughly 3-Ton unit equivalent. I am sad because of that, but it is not the fault of Duromax, nor the generator itself. I would need a larger gen to run my HVAC. With that said, it is very important to know exactly how much power any and all of your appliances/devices use before you settle on generator size. My problem was that the company that installed my HVAC went out of business and no one else wanted to help me find that info for my HVAC, so I had to guess and hope this gen would work. However, I have no regret buying this gen and it will serve my needs far greater than my old 5k gen. The 11k seems very well built and a lot of well thought out details went into the final design. Yes I am very satisfied with my purchase and I recommend it to anyone.
