My initial purchase of this inverter xp11000ih stopped producing power right after initial break-in period. Took to recommending repair facility, they had it for 4 months and never repaired. DuroMax sent me a new one. 42 hours into use, during middle of night it quit running and will no longer start. Currently sitting in a different repair shop. Would not recommend, as well as the repair shop said these are not reliable inverters.

Opened box 2 days ago and added oil for initial run. The oil inlet cap is 100% blocked by a bundle of wires. Was a battle to get right amount of oil in. Not looking forward to next oil change. Why build a great generator and ruin it by a needless oil access design?

Poor oil system fill design

Access up the oil plug is a booger. Difficult to remove the fill plug due to the wire harness placement. Otherwise generator is ok.

Nice Generator

I purchased this because I needed a bigger generator and this fit what power was needed. I haven't had it long but have some initial impressions. It's way nicer than my old generator. I was expecting some assembly and there was none. Just connected the battery and added oil. It started up and ran like a champ. Easy to move for storage. It even looks good. The 4 stars are because the placement of the oil fill cap. The maintenance panel is low, and the oil fill cap was behind a wire bundle. It's difficult to see and was hard to get my hands on. Checking oil level before each use is going to be less than easy. The generator comes with some tools and other extras. Haven't tried the key fob yet, but overall happy with the purchase.

I bought the 11k 2 years ago. I use the propane feature, handles everything as advertised.
The fear I had was was it going to start? Is the trickle charging getting it done? My machine cranked right up, ran smooth, performed like a dream. Confidence with my product. Ready for the next "well crap" from my wife.

Quite as expected

Just opened. I like the way the wheel and how the engine is insulated. I was not happy with the access to the oil opening. Very poor design! Putting oil in and changing should be easy not a chore. Otherwise, love the dual fuel and so far liked the meter. We’ll see how it does at next power outage but except it to work well.
