Bought this during a Black Friday sale at a good price and also no sales tax. Did the initial break in. Pretty quiet. I started it when it was 7 degrees out to see how it would do and it started right up. It is a little heavier to move around than I thought it would be but once it's in place, I probably won't have a need to move it again. Pretty satisfied so far.

I have completed the break in with amsoil breaking oil and change it to 100% synthetic Amsoil small engine oil 10w-30.
It started up almost immediately on propane and ran for 7 hours with a 1800 watt load during breakin period. After changing the oil I did a test run for about a hour running everything but my heatpump with power interlock. This included well pump, hot water tank, refrigerator, freezer, 60in led tv and numerous led lights through out house amongst other electronics that are normally running. Basically everything in the house except heat pump. It preformed like a champ and I feel confident that I will be good to go when the next power outage occurs! I have gas logs for heat in the winter and feel confident that it will run my 2.5 ton ac in the summer.

he XP11000iH is very well engineered and built. I like the compact size and premium features of the display. Started on first crank, settled down to a smooth idle. Quieter than I anticipated. Frequency stays at an indicated 60 Hz. Will put my scope on it soon. Low load (1.5KW) voltage is a little high - 247V. Hopefully that will come down with more load. My only complaint so far is the location of the dipstick and having to remove a panel just to check oil. An auto style dipstick in a long tube, accessible from outside the unit would have been a great feature.

I’ve been looking at this unit for several years and when it went on sale during Black Friday I couldn’t afford not to buy it. It arrived quickly and in perfect shape. Followed the start up instructions, added oil and fuel and without hesitation, it fired up and ran perfectly. I will be added a soft start to my AC unit so this generator can start it and run the whole house. Hopefully it will last for many years to come.

Just purchased this generator and was pleased to find a well built unit . Ran on propane and unit performed well. The only issue was location of oil dipstick.

Clean, Quiet Power for the Whole House

I travel for work and am gone from home often which also means my wife is home alone; so a quality, dependable generator that is easy to use was paramount when choosing a new generator. This unit fits that description perfectly! In fact, I am on the road while writing this review and our power was out for nearly 24 hours just a day ago. My wife texted me saying how relieved she was to have this unit and how easy it was for her to hook up to the house and how user-friendly it was to start since she was home alone (again…ugh).
See, here’s the thing, my wife suffers from significant anxiety and gets flustered incredibly easily and things go rapidly downhill from there. For her to say she was able to get this done without a problem is massive. This unit is the answer I was looking for! Highly recommend!
