We use these in our Production Rental business. We need good, clean power for our digital audio and video equipment. DuroMax fits the bill perfectly. Will be adding more units throughout the next year.
Generator - XP11000iH - arrived yesterday and started today with the break-in period - filling oil was a little challenging to get to but manageable - my plan is for this Generator to be only run on propane - as I believe propane will be the best for response readiness - I ran it with only a fan as a small load for about 3 hours - gauge showed no load - then I began my quest of home backup power - I previously had set up my home with an interlock kit and a 50 amp RV hookup - I selected the breakers that I thought I would need in case of a power outage - one of which being the central air conditioner - the generator activated - bogged down for literally 1 to 2 seconds and proceeded to run super smooth - one by one adding the additional breakers the unit continued without issues - at final I had the central air - two refrigerators - 3 ceiling fans - multiple lights throughout my home - really the only items I did not activate were the water heater - washer and dryer - and range - all of which i would most likely - tune on only when I turn off the central air - I am very pleased with this test - but as many others have said - I can't wait to use it for real but really hope I never have to - if I can update photos after posting I may try at a later time
This is my third model of DuroMax generator, all which have performed great. Of the three the only issue I've ever had, was one had the plenum for the inverter cooling discharge installed upside down. Do a good inspection, but overall these are excellent generators and perform very well.
I haven't used the generator yet. Instructions clear, concise and well presented-an excellent. Getting to the oil filler cap is for a someone with small hands/fingers and can bend like a pretzel--luckily they give you a flexible filler hose. Appears well made-I'll keep u posted.
Sure wish it was offered as tri-fuel as I have natural gas stove and water heater. After break in, I hooked it up to the 50 amp plug and it ran the a/c and appliances easily. Very pleased.
where is the 15 amp. control fuse located. on the wiring diagram it is between the battery and on off switch / flame out switch. it is not in the front of the control panel its location would be great to know if it were to blow, it would make the unit none use able thanks Mark
