The best coffee maker. This is the third one we have had in 16 years. (It gets used daily and we have hard water) but we love the 14 cup quantity and the extended timer function. Easy to use and it keeps the coffee so hot that it feels like we have the first cup every time. Love the inner filter system it has with the charcoal filter.
It works well, makes good coffee. I don't know if the settings make a difference, I usually just make small pots (4 cups) and bold, for stronger coffee. But the carafe is a defective design - dribbles both when filling the coffeemaker and pouring coffee, cannot be emptied well (water or coffee always left inside) and does not have a hinged lid (the snap on lid is hard to remove) Do you have a better carafe?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi, thank you for sharing your feedback on your Cuisinart coffee maker. We’re sorry to hear about your experience with the carafe and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Please note that this is the only carafe designed for this model.

My prior Cuisinart coffee maker died after 10+ years. This was a similar model and it too is good. Larger capacity than the old one. The glass carafe is different but my old maker had an aluminum carafe and …it fits this model !!! BONUS!!👍
We recently had our Cuisinart Coffeemaker die after 12+ years of dedicated service in which we brewed copious amounts of coffee almost every day and gave it indifferent care at best. We're not coffee snobs, and I would not recommend this to someone who is looking for a bunch of fancy bells and whistles. But it sure served us well for brewing fresh ground Peet's for over a decade.
It finally died, and the obvious choice was to re-up with the same model. We'll see if this one also lasts 12 or more years. Only complaint is that it cost twice as much as it did back when Obama was president, thanks tariffs!
