Great coffee...but coffee grind chute stinks!

This is an excellent coffee maker in the sense that it makes very good tasting coffee and the filter is excellent; no coffee grinds in the coffee. The problem is the chute keeps getting clogged. It seems like once every week I am having to practically disassemble this unit just to get the coffee grinds unpacked in the chute. This is a HUGE pain - I get coffee all over the place and beans and water in the tank, etc. It is great tasting coffee....but, this is such a problem that I'm going to go with another brand!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

To help reduce clogging in the chute, we recommend using a slightly coarser grind, avoiding overfilling the filter basket, and regularly cleaning the chute area as outlined in the Use & Care instructions, as buildup can occur over time. I’ve discovered I like my coffee BOLD. Love the PROGRAM START for mornings I’m getting up early & heading out. I’m very happy with this purchase. We have had ours for a long time. We've liked it that whole time. It doesn't have the newest bells and whistles, but it makes good coffee. Programmed start time is very handy. Other adjustments work well. We recommend it.
