This would have been my second Cuisinart coffee maker. 1st was 12-cup 3400. Great until water wouldn't heat consistently to 195• + at grounds. It lasted almost 10 years.
Brand new 14-cup Perfect Temp cannot achieve 180• in/at grounds out of the box. Tried 5x even using 100• tap water.

2 drawbacks-only keeps the coffee hot for 4 hours.
Even in the full upright open position, the lid makes it difficult to pour all of the water in the carafe into the reservoir.
