I love my 14 cup Cuisinart! I was thoroughly attached to my Hamilton Beech Brew Station, but after 12 yrs it died (and it only made 12 cups). This one makes 14 and it’s great having that extra 2 cups.
Makes very good coffee, very reasonably priced, and easily programmable. The only thing I would prefer is somehow to be able to fill the reservoir w/o having to pull machine out from under cabinet. But, it is very lightweight, so not a big deal.
We have had our coffeemaker for about a month. We routinely use the Bold feature for our half-caf blend of ground coffee. It makes a nice cup of coffee. A couple of comments. When I raise the hinged lid to air out the water intake area, the open lid is taller than the space under my wall cabinet and the lid interferes with the cabinet doors if I slide the device out from under the wall cabinet. I'm coping but that is worth noting if you're considering buying this. The lid doesn't appear to be removable.
It is very hard to pour the water into the reservoir and not have water all over the counter. The opening seems to narrow/small. Also my coffee pot makes a lot of noise and appears to be very slow in the process of making a pot of coffee.
The coffee tastes different from what I am used to, however, it is OK and I am acclimating to the new taste. I really like the bold option. Actually, my only complaint is the clock. Mine does not keep accurate time at all. If I reset it according to the instructions, it will have the wrong time in less than 1-hr. After 1-day it is incorrect by hours. I am very disappointed in something as easy as an accurate clock. Luckily for me, I do not use the pre-programmed option.
