This is my 3rd Cuisinart 14 Cup Coffeemaker! My first one lasted 4 years while the 2nd made it just over 5 years. All of my earlier purchases, from various manufacturers, I was lucky to get one year before they died … usually the warming plate died first. I am a big coffee drinker and the Cuisinart makes great tasting coffee and their longevity is FANTASTIC!
The quality is consistently there with Cuisinart products. We have bought numerous ones over the years and this one is no exception. It does everything promised and was competitively priced for the features and quality.
Work Awesome! The thing that sold me on it was the water charcoal purifier. It makes coffee taste so much better. Most coffee makers do have this including a lot of the favorites!
Would not call this an overly fancy coffee maker, but to brew a few cups up to a max of 14 it works just fine. Has a "1-4 cup" button for smaller brews as well as a "bold" button. I have used both. Haven't tried brewing without the bold so can't comment on any differences. Also, has a "clean" button that I haven't tried as it is only 2 weeks old. It has a reusable coffee basket, but I prefer to use paper filters. I had some old #2 filters which work fine for my smaller brews, but the manual calls for #4 which would be needed for larger loads.
