I have been very unhappy with this coffeemaker. It is loud and when brewing I have had the grounds shooting up from the filter and entering the coffeepot

This is a replacement unit for us of a unit that we broke. We loved the old Cuisinart Coffee Maker and that is why we purchased the same model again. It makes a delicious pot of coffee time and time again and is easy to use. After trying several other different brands in the past, we highly recommend Cuisinart.

Not sure why they call this a 14 cup brewer. Adding 10 measured scoops of coffee with 10 cups of water causes coffee grounds to go every where after brewing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have always loved the Cuisenart Coffee Maker but switched to another brand. What a mistake! Poor quality (had to replace the carafe 3 times), the k cup feature worked 3 times, and the water reservoir was difficult to clean. Happy to have old faithful back! I love the improvements they made..especially the ability to turn the tone off when the coffee is done. It makes a pot very quickly.

This coffee pot is our 3rd 14 cupper.
The tone that sounds when the coffee is brewed was changed from a multi choice of volume to a fixed single level or off with no sound.
Why was this changed? If you’re young you are able to hear the present sound once the coffee is brewed. If you’re an octogenarian your hearing is not quite as efficient and it is difficult to hear it once you leave the immediate area..
Had you left it alone, it would’ve been cheaper in the long run because nothing needed changing. “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. This says it all.
On a positive note, the new carafe cover that actually locks into place is an excellent idea. As an added level of security it was a good added feature.
We have many Cuisinart products and enjoy each and every one of them.

I like this coffee maker but the only flaw is that the lid of the maker stays wet forever and it is difficult to pour the water in. I like that I can do auto shut off and the larger pot is nice.
